Who may enter
The contest is open to anyone.

The contest is organised by The Caterpillar magazine.

You may submit original, unpublished story of no more than 1,500 words on any theme or subject, as long as it is appropriate for 7-11 year olds.

Entries must be in English.

The competition will be judged by Mark Lowery.

Entry fees
The entry fee is 12 € per story.

• 1st prize: 500 € plus a 2-week stay at The Moth’s Artists’ Residence in rural Ireland
• 2nd prize: 300 €
• 3rd prize: 200 €

All three winning stories will appear in the winter 2016 issue of The Caterpillar.
