The Red Fairy Book was the second in Andrew Lang’s famous collection, and includes many more well-known tales such as Twelve Dancing Princesses, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, the Golden Goose, and many more.
It appeared at Christmas 1890 in a first printing of 10,000 copies. Sources include French, Russian, Danish, and Romanian tales as well as Norse mythology.
